Evidence for Expanding Quantum Field Theory

چکیده
Present day quantum field theory (QFT) is founded on canonical quantization, which has served quite well, but also led to several issues. The free describing a particle (with no interaction term) can suddenly become nonrenormalizable the instant suitable term appears. For example, using $\varphi^4_4$, been deemed ``free" with difference from truly [1], [2], [3]. Using same model, affine quantization interacting [4]. This fact alone asserts that and tools of deserve be open their procedures together as significant enlargement QFT.

Evidence for Winding States in Noncommutative Quantum Field Theory
We study noncommutative field theories at finite temperature to learn more about the degrees of freedom in the non-planar sector of these systems. We find evidence for winding states. At temperatures for which the thermal wavelength is smaller than the noncommutativity scale, there is a drastic reduction of the degrees of freedom in the non-planar sector. In this regime, the non-planar sector h...
متن کاملField beables for quantum field theory
The deBroglie-Bohm pilot-wave theory is an interpretation of quantum theory in which the observer plays no fundamental role. In a pilot-wave theory, quantum systems are not only described by the state vector, but also by some additional variables. These additional variables, also called beables, can be particle positions, field configurations, strings, etc. In this paper we focus our attention ...
متن کاملQuantum field theory for discrepancies
The concept of discrepancy plays an important rôle in the study of uniformity properties of point sets. For sets of random points, the discrepancy is a random variable. We apply techniques from quantum field theory to translate the problem of calculating the probability density of (quadratic) discrepancies into that of evaluating certain path integrals. Both their perturbative and non-perturbat...
متن کاملQuantum field thermalization in expanding backgrounds
The 2PI effective action formalism for quantum fields out of equilibrium is set up in an expanding (Friedmann-Robertson-Walker) background. We write down and solve the evolution equations for a φ4 model at O(λ2) in a coupling expansion. We comment on issues of renormalization, lattice discretization and the range of applicability of the approach. A number of example calculations are presented, ...
